Intro

  • Elicitation is collecting information to identify problems/opportunities.
  • To gather information about the software to be built including information about the application domain and environment.
  • Difficult because domain knowledge is thinly spread and tends to be tacit. Also lack of training, poor tool support.
  • Techniques used are
    • Interviews
    • RAD Worskshops
    • Scenario based methods
